Habits for a Pain-Free Life


When healing becomes personal


For most of my adult life, I worked in the medical field, supporting patients through nuclear medicine scans, cardiac stress tests, and diagnostic procedures. I witnessed firsthand how stress, poor sleep, and the pace of modern life silently shape our health.

What I didn’t realize was how deeply those same patterns had taken root in me. Behind my calm professional smile was constant fatigue, tightness in my shoulders, and the quiet whisper of burnout.

Then came a turning point, a cancer diagnosis that changed everything. My body, once my tool for serving others, became my teacher. Healing wasn’t about fixing something broken. It was about remembering what wholeness felt like.


The journey inward


Yoga entered my life as medicine; not just for the body, but for the nervous system, the mind, and the spirit. Breath by breath, I began to rebuild a relationship with myself. I stopped fighting my body and started listening to it.

Through this process, I learned something that completely reframed my recovery:


Healing isn’t found in intensity. It’s found in consistency.

Each small action, a few minutes of breathing, a short walk in nature, journaling before bed; became a thread in a larger fabric of wellness. Slowly, I began to see that the same discipline I used in medicine could also be applied to creating balance and vitality in everyday life.


The birth of The H.E.A.L. Method™


What emerged from years of personal study, yoga practice, and health coaching is something I now call The H.E.A.L. Method™. A four-pillar approach to cultivating habits that heal from the inside out.


  • H: Habits that Heal

    Small, sustainable rituals that create momentum. From mindful breathing to evening wind-down routines. Healing begins with one repeatable step.

  • E: Energy Awareness

    Understanding where your energy goes each day and how to restore it through breathwork, rest, and conscious presence. Energy, not time, determines how you feel.

  • A: Awareness & Acceptance

    Learning to observe your body’s signals without judgment. Awareness invites compassion; acceptance opens the door to transformation.

  • L: Lifestyle for Longevity

    Integrating movement, nourishment, rest, and meaningful connection. Because your lifestyle is your most powerful medicine.


These four pillars form the foundation of my teachings — from yoga for chronic pain, to wellness coaching, to The Strong Circle community.


Why this matters

Every student who walks into my studio or joins me online has their own story of pain; physical, emotional, or both. The H.E.A.L. Method™ isn’t about escaping that pain; it’s about transforming our relationship with it.
