My Journey to Wellness: Overcoming Prediabetes and Fighting Cancer with Yoga and Wellness Coaching

Welcome to my personal journey of resilience, healing, and thriving. In this blog post, I want to share with you how yoga and wellness coaching have been integral parts of my journey to overcoming prediabetes, battling cancer, and continuing to prioritize my health and well-being.

The Beginning of My Journey:

My journey began at age 45 with a diagnosis of prediabetes, a wake-up call that prompted me to take a closer look at my lifestyle and prioritize my health. Determined to make positive changes, I turned to yoga as a way to manage stress, improve my physical health, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.

Yoga: A Lifeline Through Challenges:

Yoga became my sanctuary during some of the most challenging moments of my life. Through gentle movement, mindful breathing, and meditation, I found solace and strength to navigate the uncertainties of my health journey. Yoga helped me to lower my stress levels, manage inflammation, and improve my overall well-being.

Battling Cancer: A Test of Resilience:

Just when I thought I had overcome one obstacle, life threw another curveball my way. In 2023 of October in the midst of planning and hosting my son's wedding that month, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and suddenly, my world was turned upside down. But even in the midst of treatment and uncertainty, yoga remained a constant source of support. It helped me to cope with the physical and emotional challenges of cancer treatment, providing me with a sense of empowerment and resilience.

Wellness Coaching: Guiding Me Towards Optimal Health:

In addition to yoga, wellness coaching played a crucial role in my journey towards optimal health. Working with a wellness coach, I was able to develop personalized strategies to improve my nutrition, manage stress, and create a balanced lifestyle. My coach provided me with the support, accountability, and encouragement I needed to stay committed to my health goals.

Continuing the Journey:

Today, as a survivor, I continue to prioritize my health and well-being. Yoga and wellness coaching remain integral parts of my daily routine, helping me to stay grounded, resilient, and healthy. Through these practices, I have learned to listen to my body, honor my needs, and embrace each day with gratitude and resilience.

I offer yoga and wellness coaching sessions for those who are wanting to make lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes, inflammation, try to prevent cancer and even during cancer treatments to alleviate the hardships and stress. Whether you're looking to prevent disease, manage chronic conditions, or navigate the challenges of cancer treatment, I'm here to support you on your journey towards optimal health and well-being.
