Yin Yoga targets the body's deep connective tissues: your ligaments, bones and muscular fascia - areas that are difficult to reach and open. This is a slower paced class with asanas (yoga poses) that are held between 3 and 5 minutes, honing in on meditative elements and methods. Most poses are performed seated or lying down on the mat. Yin yoga encourages you to slow down and deepen your awareness between body and mind.
